Chepstow Race Track History & Information

Chepstow was opened in 1926 in the grounds of Piercefield House. After the nearby Caerleon course closed, the Welsh National was transferred to Chepstow. The top racecourse in Wales, the course is one of the most testing courses in Britain with a circuit of 1m7f which climbs uphill from the turn then downhill from the end of the back straight onwards.
